Muffin4life's archer tournament is now on, HOWEVER...

"We took a vote and we decided we didn't like all the yelling at us in our inbox Muffin4Life."

Honestly did you need to yell the last three messages in our inbox? We know, we know, the tournament is now closed but please... no more angry yelling letters in our inbox please.

Information on obtaining a fifth city (KoC)

You probably already got this in your inbox, but to clarify here's the specific game info from the developers on obtaining a fifth city in Kingdom of Camelot.

"King Arthur has decided that our players will soon be able to expand their Kingdoms with a Fifth City.

To earn the right to build a Fifth City they must prove their commitment and capacity for spreading peace through Camelot by conquering unowned Wildernesses and collecting the Crests that Sir Percival, Sir Galahad, and Sir Lancelot have hidden therein. These Crests can be found by conquering Level 8, 9 or 10 Wildernesses. The higher Level the Wilderness the greater the chance a Crest will be found. Collecting the Knight's Crests will be difficult; it demonstrates a player’s ability and dedication to sustain a large army and engage in a high volume war over a sustained period of time. We expect that it will take hundreds of level Ten Wilderness attacks before a player wins all the Crests they need. It is very unlikely that most players will have all the Crests they need to attain their Fifth City Deed the day that Fifth Cities are released.

Many players are eager to build their Fifth City as soon as it is released into the Domains and we wanted to offer other ways to contribute to Camelot and prove their dedication. We are happy to announce that we will be releasing the Lord’s Chest containing Sir Galahad’s, Sir Lancelot’s, and King Arthur’s Crests when the Fifth City itself is introduced into the Domains. Players can purchase this Chest to help supplement the missing Crests they need. Each Chest contains one to three Crests of each type. SO, one Lord's Chest might have one of each Crest while another Lord's Chest has 3 of each.

In addition, we are offering to our players the ability to purchase a Fifth City Deed directly and bypass the Crest system. This is a convenience for our players who want to guarantee they will be the first to start their Fifth City. In anticipation for Fifth City, the Deed is on sale for a limited-time.

Hope this clarifies some confusion around the Fifth City!"

Good luck gaining a fifth city. No doubt in a few months there'll be a new Crest tournament (Arthur had plenty of knights) and announcement of the 6th city. Stay tuned for that news probably around the new year 2011.

Expansion into Rock Age Beta? Maybe.

Presently situated out of the Beowulf domain of Rock Age Beta I am working on expanding a branch of The Muffin Enforcers in Rock Age Beta. Presently, however, getting an alliance means expending 20k gold so I am working on it. If you are presently playing Rock Age Beta and happen to be in the Beowulf domain drop me a line and let me know what you're up to.

Sorry (Crests)

"Now that I got a Kay crest... it's creeping me out."

Sorry, but crests are NOT interchangable. Only you can gain crests for your third city, fourth, or even the newly announced fifth city (update coming soon). If you need help the best we can do is send you resources to refresh your armies for crest hunting, but that's it. Sorry.

Tournament of Archers

"Do these count as archers?"

Muffin4Life has a new tournament to inform you of within the alliance.

Muffin4Life
"We are going to have a little contest... The Contest will be to see who can build the most archers in 7 days. The way this will work is you will send me a message, once your current ques are finished, of how many archers you have. Update on Archer Request from Muffin4Life

(What?!? We're not going to war?!? But I already went and formed an alliance with the Biscuit Brigade...we're very close, don't judge!)

Muffin4Life thanks you for your archer information you sent him, and says at present we're not going to war with anyone. It's just information worth having just in case.

Tournament of Crests draws to a close

How did everyone fare? Hope you did well. And if you got any of the new crests during the tournament? You should soon be able to put them to use making a fifth city... provided of course you have four cities, which I am still working on (actually still working on third city right now).

So otherwise that's it until the next tournament, whatever that'll be. Stay tuned for more tournament news in the near future no doubt.

Did you get Muffin4life's request for information on archers?

(You are getting sleepy... sleepy... you will give me noms... I mean the number of archers you have...)

Specifically the amount of archers you have? I am not sure what the request is for but I already sent in my numbers. Hopefully more info on it to come soon.

Tournament of Crests now Underway

Already a few players have leaped to the front somehow bringing down 60 or less crests in a matter of hours. How? I don't know, but considering the last Tournament (the Barbarian tournament) had incidents of cheating during the tournament I have to wonder. Anyway you have until Monday to get as much crests as possible (which can always go towards helping you build your third or fourth, or even fifth city while your going at it) so good luck at the tournament.

I wonder how many bakers we have? I personally would love to see a muffin recipe tournament if only to taste the entries... mmmm... oh well.

The Tournament of Crests is About To Begin

Yup, it's yet another tournament. From the makers of the pointless Tournament of Might and the kinda interesting yet still pointless Slay the Barbarians Tournament comes a tournament that, hopefully, for a change of pace gives everyone better odds at winning... maybe... presenting the Tournament of Crests (and darnit it has nothing to do with brushing your teeth!)

Now that the game has brought in Sir Percival, Sir Galahad and Sir Lancelot it means there are new Crests now available (which sadly also means you better get to know these new crests as they no doubt will be the benchmark for your quest for the upcoming fifth city if I know my KoC right). To promote the launch of the new level of crests, the game is holding a tournament of crests.

Launching Thursday, August 19th at 12:01 AM PST and ending promptly on Monday, August 23rd at 11:59PM PST you need to search in the following areas to find crests.

First, how do you go about winning crests?
According to the flyer concerning the tournament "To win a Crest, you must win an attack against an unowned Wilderness of level 5-10. You do not have to conquer it, only be victorious in the battle. If a Wilderness does not have all of its Troops (it has been attacked in the last hour), you will have a lesser chance of winning a Crest. Different types of Crests drop based off level of wilderness, and drop rates increase in higher level wildernesses."

In a Level 5-10 wilderness you'll find Sir Bor, Ector and Kay crests, which are used to build your third city.

In a Level 6-10 wilderness you'll find Sir Bedivere, Gaiwan and Percival crests, which are used to build your fourth city.

And finally in a Level 8-10 wilderness you'll find Sir Galahad, Percival and Lancelot crests, which no doubt will be used in building the yet to be announced Fifth City.

Like in past tournaments each of the top 1000 participants on each domain will win a prize! Prizes include free Gems (top five players), Divine Inspirations (next dozen or so players), Hourglass Speed-ups, and more. First place on each domain wins 1000 free Gems!

Don't forget to RSVP! A drawing will be held at the end of the tournament giving out 100 free gems to x amount of people who RSVP before the tournament begins.

War Against Your Downfall inevitable

(Beward the Muffin Mafia)

Today we retaliated against one Lord OopsThereItIs who has hit Lord Cotopaxi numerous times, Cotopaxi winning quite abit of resources back from OopsThereItIs in the process. Because of this all members should be on the lookout for attacks from Your Downfall in retaliation.

Keep upgrading your resource defenses (Storehouse and Shrinking Powder) and don't leave excess resources before you go to sleep that can be stolen in attacks (and leave your armies in sanctuary while sleeping so you don't lose your army and a ton of might while sleeping).

Are you taking advantage of the new wilderness protection?

Remember now you can invest 200 gold a trap into protecting your wildernesses, as well as hiring mercenaries to guard your precious resources. One of the newest updates added recently to Kingdom of Camelot in the past weeks.

War averted?

Presently Your Downfall is voting on a possible truce for all involved (Muffin Enforcers, The Pillar and Your Downfall). Results of the vote should be in tomorrow so we'll keep you up to date on the situation as it develops.

Is War Inevitable? Versus Your Downfall

All members please vote on the present topic of whether to go to war against Your Downfall. Vote ends September 1st so please vote early, thank you.
